Finely Woven

This weekend's message.....WOW! Of everything Charlie said this weekend, here is what stuck out to me:

We cannot control everything that happens in our lives. However, we DO have control over our choices. Many times we will give everything over to the Lord except for one area of our lives. That one area is what will bring us down! We have to trust Him with everything....everything....

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge (submit to) Him and He will direct your path (make your path straight)."
Proverbs 3:5-6
Oh, what a nugget of truth that is.

To trust You, Lord with everything
That is my heart's desire
Take all my hopes, my dreams, my fears,
Light within me Your fire.

Role of Mother

I don't know if on this side of Heaven my children will know and understand what seriousness and depth is included in the role of being a mama. Sometimes I feel like I am throwing myself into a wall. But I just try, my best, to stand my ground, even if it hurts more than I could say.

First Post

Many of us had incredible spiritual experiences this summer. Those of us involved in EPIC had the opportunities for local missions, mission trip to Mexico, CIY, Butler Springs, EPIC Unplugged.....the list goes on. It always seems that it is easier to focus on our faith during the summer when we have these opportunities for "mountain top" experiences. Now, here we are in a new school year.

In an effort to keep our eyes focused on Jesus through this year, I just want to have a spot where we can process things that the Lord teaches us and shows us as the year progresses. As for me, I want to be moving toward Him all year long so that when next summer comes, instead of having to regain spiritual ground, I can be further in my faith.

I hope this can be a place of fellowship and wisdom.
